Yolanda Jenkins Launches Women Major League Kickball to Elevate Women’s Competition and Showcase Elite Talent Nationwide
Las Vegas, NV — Women’s sports continue to experience unprecedented growth across the global sports landscape, and entrepreneur and sports visionary Yolanda Jenkins, Founder and CEO of Women Major League Kickball (WMLK), is leading the charge to elevate one of America’s most community-driven sports into a professional competitive platform.
Jenkins founded Women Major League Kickball with a clear mission: to showcase women athletes at the highest level of competition while redefining how the sport of kickball is viewed, played, and experienced.
“For years, I saw incredible women athletes competing without a true professional stage,” said Jenkins. “WMLK was created to change that — to give women a platform where skill, athleticism, and competition are recognized at a higher level.”
WMLK aims to transform competitive kickball into a structured, high-performance league featuring elite players, regional competition, and a pathway toward professional play. Designed with a faster tempo, higher stakes, and enhanced gameplay experience, the league emphasizes athletic excellence, strategic play, and fan engagement.
The organization will begin building momentum through a national series of Super Regional tournaments in 2026, leading into the league’s inaugural professional season scheduled for Summer 2027. These events will bring together top women players from across the country to compete in a dynamic 9-vs-9 format designed for speed, excitement, and broadcast appeal.
Jenkins, who also leads national sports initiatives focused on community development and athlete pathways, believes WMLK represents more than a league — it represents opportunity.
“Women deserve a professional environment that matches their level of talent and dedication,” Jenkins added. “We are building something bigger than tournaments. We are building visibility, opportunity, and a future for women in kickball.”
Beyond competition, WMLK plans to invest in youth development programs, community engagement initiatives, and partnerships with host cities to create lasting economic and social impact through sports tourism.
As women’s sports continue to gain national attention and investment, Women Major League Kickball positions itself at the forefront of innovation — merging grassroots passion with professional structure to create a new era for the sport.
